My Sharona

I'm quite bored and tired right now.  I'm laying around listening to My Sharona and trying to think of things to do other than fall asleep, but I think that's a losing battle.  I really want some pasta but there's only chicken and no ground turkey, and chicken tastes really weird with marinara sauce as I discovered last night.

Right now I'm home alone because my dad's in the hospital having knee surgery and my mom's over there waiting, but I didn't feel like getting up at 5 AM to go down there.  I've been informed that surgery is over and they had to drill into the bone, which was previously unplanned, so he can't put any weight on his leg for 6 weeks.  That should be extremely interesting.

I'm either going to watch Crank Yankers, The Real Housewives Of Orange County, or go back to sleep now.

Ironic

Well, maybe it isn't ironic but I just realized I made my last post at almost the EXACT same time I posted last Christmas Eve.  Last year I posted at 1:20 PM and this year I posted at 1:19 PM.  I swear I didn't do it on purpose, haha.

I'm easily amused.  Get over it.

Jingle Bells, Batman Smells

So I realized that today marks the one-year anniversary of this blog.  Amazing!  I'm laying here, once again, in anticipation of the arrival of the crazies.  There is an interesting version of Jingle Bells sung by Elvis blasting from the other room.  I'm still in my pajamas and I'm conjuring the energy to get dressed.  So that's terribly exciting.

I really have nothing to say, I just felt I should mark the one-year anniversary.  Yay.

After Midnight

Wayyy after midnight!  I'm actually kind of sad that I'm up this late.  For a week or two there I had a very normal sleep schedule - in bed by 8 or 9 PM, up anywhere from 4:30 to 6 AM.  I was enjoying it!  I had more energy, and I just felt better.  But I've fallen into a bit of a slump again here.  I would've gone to bed earlier tonight but I have heartburn so I can't sleep.  That darn pizza just didn't agree with me =[  I haven't really had any fast food or too much junk food in the past few weeks, so I suppose it was a shock to my system.  I'm surprised I don't miss junk food more than I do but I'm getting along just fine without it!  I almost caved and went to Del Taco the other night but I decided I didn't really need it, so I'm good =]

In other news, I'm really really really pushing to try to get a Blackberry Storm.  That phone is calling my name!  It's so freaking awesome and I've never gone out and gotten an "it" phone right when it came out.  I love my current phone very very much (I have an orange enV) but it's about a year and a half old and it's acting up on occasion.  Back in March it freaked out completely for about a day and just wasn't working right at all, but I wonder if it had something to do with the metal detectors at the airport.  And the other day it wouldn't let me erase messages in my inbox until I turned it off and on again, which was annoying.  But the Storm...it just looks wonderful.  The only downside is that they require you to add an extra $30 a month for unlimited Internet and e-mail.  I could live without it if it meant getting the phone, but Verizon is a big weenie and says no.  So instead I have to push the 'rents.  Which is always enjoyable (not).

So...yep.  In other news I'm working on my Christmas list, which again is comprised mainly of books with a few DVDs thrown in for good luck.  And a 32GB iPod Touch, but I'm 95% sure that's never happening because it's so damned expensive, and I'm 99.9999999% sure I won't get it if I get the Storm.  I can't really think of anything else except like...make-up and clothes and what have you.  Hmph.  But I love books =D

And now I'm going to try to get some sleep so I can spend tomorrow doing homework (I finished my senior project, yay!) and picking up a big box of crap that we bought wholesale.  The box is exciting but the homework...not so much.

When The Saints

This morning, after having been up all night, at around 8:30 AM I decided to have some breakfast.  I had the breakfast of champions!  Easy Mac with pomegranate applesauce, two sugar cookies, and a glass of orange juice slush (courtesy of my fridge that has currently decided to act as a freezer).  I enjoyed my meal while watching a movie I hadn't seen in AGES!  Wee Sing and the Marvelous Musical Mansion!  It was my favorite movie when I was little and I still remembered most of the songs.  Now I think I'm going to try to get some sleep because I have class in 4 hours and 40 minutes.  Then I get to come home and do homework.  Yay =/

GOOD NIGHT!

Bubbles In The Wine

I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY want a SHAG/Josh Agle print.  I love them so much.  They're wonderful.  Ahhhh, why must art be so pricey, my wallet so empty, jobs so hard to come by, and my wall space so limited...

The End

So...life is sucking at a rapidly increasing rate as of late.  Let me take this moment to recognize the deaths of two things near and dear to my heart.

Honestly, a life without CosmoGirl! and Mother's Cookies (particularly the Circus Animal cookies) is no life at all.  Now I'm stuck reading Seventeen and eating Animal Crackers, both of which are good but come in second on my list.  I am also stuck shopping at Amoeba and Virgin, which are both good stores (Amoeba is way better than Virgin could ever dream of being) because of the death of Tower.  I still miss Tower =[  And Skateland!  The indoor roller skating rink that used to be by my house!  I haven't even found a substitute for that yet, and it's been gone for two years.  Gosh.  Everything I love disappears.  Let's have a moment of silence for all of these things, gone but not forgotten.

If you hadn't already noticed, I get very sentimental easily.  So sue me.

That's The Way (Uh-Huh, Uh-Huh) I Like It (Uh-Huh, Uh-Huh)!

Life has been goooood!  I'm finally getting better after being sick for like a month, so that's exciting.  I also went to see the Van Halen tribute show, and this is what came of it:
So that's fun.  Michael Anthony was suuuuper cool and really nice!

Oh.  And I'm pissed.  Mother's Cookies went bankrupt.  No more Circus Animal cookies for Amy =[  Poop.  Actually we stocked up on cookies, we bought like $60 worth hahahaha.  We've gotta make them last a loooong time =/

Ahh and today I went to Amoeba!  Yay!  I love that place.  They always have super cool stuff.  I got Shock Treatment, the "sequel" to Rocky Horror.  I've never seen it but it looks good.  I also got Lake Placid, because Betty White is freaking Awesome.  I got a press kit for Walk Hard for $1 from the clearance bin.  It's actually pretty cool!  It has a bunch of pictures, the trailer, info about the movie, and four songs including two that weren't on the soundtrack.  All downloadable onto my computer!  So exciting.  Then I found an LP for $2 by a band called Gentlemen After Dark.  It was filed under Alice Cooper because apparently he was one of the producers.  I have to check it out, it might be good it might not haha.  And finally, I found a copy of Alice Cooper's album Killer on vinyl.  $18 for a used record is a bit steep, but it's so cool!  It's got the detachable 1972 calendar still attached!  Super awesome.  And I guess it's one of the original pressings because there was a note with it about it being on the Blvd. label?  I'm not really good with details about old albums and their rarity.  But it seems exciting, haha.

All-in-all, life has been pretty good.  Except for the cookie debacle =/  SCREW YOU, ECONOMY!

The Adventures Of Greggery Peccary

Long time, no see, non-existent readers!  I can't say that I've been terribly busy, but life has been giving me plenty of things to do.  I played two tribute to Black Sabbath shows, and Steve-O from Jackass came to one!  It was so awesome!  I also went to my best friend, Maggie's, 17th birthday party.  It was amazing!  She had a whole backdrop set up and a professional photographer and we all just brought tons of changes of clothes and had a huge photoshoot.  I can't wait to see the pictures!  What else?  Hmm...I've recorded a few makeup tutorial videos to upload to YouTube but I have yet to edit or upload them.  I've got some more MAC makeup, it's pretty exciting =]

This weekend I'm going to see a tribute to Van Halen show, which Michael Anthony (Van Halen's former bassist) will be attending.  Speaking of bass, I'm learning to play that too now.  I can almost play Ballroom Blitz, yay!  And I've now started rehearsals for my next couple of shows, which will be a tribute to David Bowie and will be in late January.  I got TiVo in my room!  Now I can feed my 90201 habit at any hour of the day.  Yes, sad but true, I'm addicted to that darn show.

This blog is very scattered.  Then again, so am I.  Right now I'm just laying on my bed listening to Frank Zappa and trying to decide what to do with myself.  I'm slightly tired but I don't quite feel like sleeping.  I could watch something off of TiVo but I don't quite feel like that too.  I'm just a bit restless and generally unsettled.  That is due to the fact that I'm sick.  I've been sick on and off for couple of weeks now, and it's not much fun.  It started as some type of stomach unsettlement, went away for a few days, came back as a feverish type of cold, went away for a few more days, and now is back as a cold with a nasty dry, sore, hoarse throat full of mucus.  So that's fun.  And this mucus-y feeling seems to be what is preventing me from sleeping.  Why am I rambling on about this?  I have no idea.  I think I'll go watch TV.

Elected

Wow, long time no talk!  Life is going pretty well, I've been to see a couple of TV show tapings.  Last week I went to see a taping of Don't Forget the Lyrics with Meat Loaf and his daughter Pearl.  That was really awesome, I got to sing Two Out of Three Ain't Bad with Meat Loaf (well, the whole audience did, lol).  He seemed really cool though.  Then today I went to see The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (my favorite late-night show) with special guest Alice Cooper!  Yay!  It was so awesome.  It was kinda like a little private concert because Alice did 2 songs and I got to sit in the front row!  I also got a cool guitar pick with Alice's face on it.  That's on tonight in like 45 minutes...I'm totally TiVoing it haha.

In other news, I'm getting ready to play a couple of shows this weekend.  AND I got my very first MAC product!  I got this awesome eyeshadow, the color is called Club and it's soooo pretty...it's totally hard to explain what color it is too haha.  It's amazing.  I wore it today and ahh I love it!  I really want to start doing makeup tutorial videos on YouTube.  If I do I'm going to use my second account, because I don't think makeup videos would mix well with my other stuff.

Other than that...hmm...oh!  I'm getting my own TiVo unit in my room in a couple of weeks!  FINALLY!  Haha, now I can record anything I want and my parents can't complain when it's taking up space on their unit.  Score!  This also means that we're finally getting HD in the living room, so I can put that big pretty TV to good use =]  But...yeah, I think that's about it for now.  I started school again so I've got some homework but that can wait, right now I'm going to feed my Grand Theft Auto IV addiction haha.  Bye!

Calcutta!

Is it odd that I'm 17 years old and I never miss an episode of The Lawrence Welk Show?  That I obsessively look through used records at thrift stores for Herb Alpert albums?  How about the fact that I absolutely love The Golden Girls.  I really think that I'm an 80-year-old trapped in a 17-year-old's body (which gives me probably as many problems as some 80-year-olds, as far as bad knees and shoulders go).  This is quite an interesting phenomenon.  People look at me funny when I mention that I love polka.  Is loving cheerful music with an overabundance of accordions so wrong!?  I thought not.  I even has a t-shirt showing a jolly man playing the accordion alongside the phrase "I'll polka your eyes out!"  I realize I have issues.

My Lawrence Welk habit has basically taken over the TiVo unit.  I have around 15 hours worth of Welk shows saved on there, and slowly but surely I'm transferring them to VHS so I can treasure them forever.  I'm guessing I'm one of the remote few who wishes they would release everything on a giant DVD box set, but seeing as the show was on for...what, like 30 years?...I really doubt that'll ever happen.  I may have to head down to the senior center and enlist my fellow Lawrence lovers to form an angry mob and insist that they release all of the episodes!  With bonus features!  And behind-the-scenes footage!  Ahhhh!

Could you see that?  An angry mob of elderly folks, rushing forward with flaming canes held as torches, throwing their walkers at the doors of a building.  Those in their motorized scooters are circling, leading the chants of the angry crowd.  (I tried so hard here to come up with a worthwhile chant, but my brain seems incapable of thinking of anything that rhymes with Lawrence, Welk, or Geritol.)  Slowly, some of the crowd members become confused as to why they are actually there, and convince themselves that a company is withholding free prune juice.

And I'm ending there, because A. it's almost 5:30 AM and B. this post has gone to Hell.  Good night.

It's Raining Men

There is something seriously wrong with me.

Last night marks the second time in like...two months...that I have grabbed the glass of water next to my bed, and attempted to pour it on myself, while I'm sleeping.  Why?  I have no freaking clue.  But it is not pleasant.  This time I missed myself for the most part, but my pillow and bed got all wet and I had to get up at like 4:30 AM to get a towel to blot the water up with.  Luckily it was just water but still...ahhhh.  I'm weird.

In other news, while cleaning I found three t-shirts, a dress, and some makeup that I forgot I had and had never even used.  So that was fun!  I also came across an old picture of my friend who I haven't seen in like five years.  Then about two hours after I found that picture, she showed up on my doorstep.  So that was random but cool.  I might get together with her next week to catch up.  But...yep, now off to watch some Golden Girls!

Crazy

So it's been a while since I've written on this thing.  No one really cares though, since no one reads it.  I guess it's just more for my own sad amusement.  But...yeah.  I'm going to try to make this short and sweet!  I got my 88 color eyeshadow palette from Coastal Scents in the mail, SCORE!  This thing is amazing!  I did some swatches on the back of my hand and did one really quick look with just three colors today, but I love it.  It's amazing.  It makes me want to take off my makeup every five minutes and try more of the fun colors.  I actually might do some weird little makeup tutorials on YouTube, we'll see.  But anyways, I also went to camp for the first time ever, and it was AMAZING!  I went to the New York Film Academy one-week camp at Universal Studios.  I had the three best apartment-mates ever (yes, we got to stay in these awesome apartments, if you're ever in Burbank for a while stay at the Oakwood temporary apartments), and the entire experience was just...amazing!  I got to film a short movie of my own [not-so-hot] writing on the Universal Studios backlot!  It was awesome.  I really want to go back next year for the four-week camp but it costs like seven grand so I don't know if I can.  But anywho, after camp I'm used to going to sleep a bit earlier than I used to, so I'm going to go watch some Golden Girls and hit the hay!

A Quake! A Quake!

So today was a super-duper exciting day!  First, I was sleeping and at about 9 AM my big 85 pound chocolate lab (Toby) came in and stuck his wet nose against my face and then curled up next to me.  I fell back asleep, UNTIL 11:42!  That was freaking scary.  If you live in a cave and haven't heard yet, at 11:42 AM PST, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit the Southern California area.  Now, I love earthquakes and I find them very exciting, but never again in my life do I want to be awakened by one.  I have a lot of stuff in my room on shelves, a shelf right above my head where I sleep (Smart, huh?  At least it's little.), and pictures hanging all over (again, some are over my bed...I win the genius award...I'm not moving them though ahaha because I have no more wall space).  The tremors were very small at first and I thought that either a large truck was going by, because my house tends to shake when they do pass, or my dad was doing something with a power tool since we're remodeling our bathroom.  The shaking seemed a little powerful for either of those but they seemed like viable options.  Before I could roll over and go back to sleep, however, the shaking got VERY intense.  My large shelf unit next to my bed began shaking violently and I shot up, screamed (which shows how surprised I was because I'm not really a screamer), and flung myself into the center of my bed (which, again, I'm very smart because that put me directly under my fan) and watched with blurred vision (because I was way too startled to put my glasses on) as numerous stuffed animals, plastic spears, and Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp dolls came flying at me, and most of it landed on my bed where I had been laying so I'm glad I moved.  I probably should have tried to get under a table or something but with two computer towers under my desk I wouldn't be able to fit there, and to get to the dining room table I would have had to run into the hall past my cabinet which was propelling all of my lotions everywhere, through the door, through the living room (dodging the wall-mounted TV in case it fell), and under the table (where small glass knick-knacks were being propelled).  So I suppose I was actually better off where I was. I wish I would have put my glasses on though because my dad said he could see the walls shaking.  The shaking lasted for what seemed like a good 15 or 30 seconds, again I was half asleep so I really have no idea.  Earthquakes make such a bizarre rumbling noise, it's a little unnerving haha.

So yeah, my mom came inside and we tried calling my brother and my grandma but our landline was down and the cell phones were all tied up.  Shortly after though my grandma managed to call my cell phone and we made sure everyone was okay.  I turned on the TV and left the news on all day long, until around 7 PM or so.  Not really sure why since there wasn't much damage or anything, but you just can't beat the excitement a natural disaster brings.  An hour or two after the initial 'quake, I felt one aftershock that only lasted a couple of seconds but did give two good jolts.  I, of course, was still wrapped up in my blanket in bed watching TV and talking excitedly to my friends on Facebook about what had just happened.  I was also busily informing everyone who was out of state what they had just missed =]  But...yeah...

OH and also adding to the excitement...in the afternoon I received my eBay purchase!  YAY!  I ordered the Wayne's World VCR board game, and I'm so excited to play it!  It's unused too, all the cards are still wrapped and everything.  Tomorrow I'll have to give it a run so I can make sure the tape works before I leave feedback.

So now I'm going to attempt to go to sleep, even though I'm a little scared to because:
A) I really don't want to be woken up by an earthquake again, haha.
B) Earlier, my mom and I both smelled chlorine and the scent of something electrical burning.  Now, I love the smell of chlorine (because I'm weird like that) but we have no idea where it was coming from.  Same for the burning smell.  So I'm afraid I'm going to like asphyxiate or the house is going to spontaneously combust or something.  But it's been a couple hours and the smells seem to have gone away and I'm still alive so I suppose it's safe.

Gosh, I wrote a lot!  And I used way too many parentheses, haha.  OH, and the damn earthquake magically made the damn cuckoo clock start working again!  AHHHH!  Oh well.  I'll leave you with what I HAD to watch today =]  And yes, I do remember the Northridge 'Quake, that one was fun.  At least I was already awake when that happened (don't ask why a 2 year old was awake at 4:30 or whenever it happened...I really don't know, but I can vividly remember the events).  ANYWAYS I'm having a serious problem with ranting right now as I typically do after excitement such as this sooo let's cut to the video!

Mama Mia

My name is Amy, and I'm a makeupholic.  Seriously, I need help.  Lately I've been addicted to watching tutorials and haul videos on YouTube and I've just been going crazy!  I think it's because it's more fun to do makeup with contacts.  But yeah...I went to CVS to get some rubbing alcohol so I can fix an eyeshadow that I bought and immediately dropped and shattered (because I am a klutz) and I noticed that a lot of their makeup was on sale.  Danger!  I got 3 of the HIP eyeshadow duos, one of the eyeshadow stick thingies, and a NYC lipgloss =]  So I'm happy.  I need to reorganize my makeup though, because in my vanity I have like a drawer for eyeliners and lipliners and stuff, one for rings, one for bracelets, one for hair stuff, one for eyeshadows, one for face makeup, and one for lip products...and the eyeshadow one is full.  I had to take stuff out of it and leave it out so gahhh.  I really want to go get a nice train case from Sephora.  I also need more brushes because up until now I was lazy and just used the little applicators that came with eyeshadow but I really prefer brushes now and I don't have many at all.  So...yup!  Oh, and I discovered the joys of trying to balance out your checkbook when something's wrong haha.  Apparently some money that my mom was supposed to transfer to my account never made it so my balance was all off and the bank had to transfer money from my savings to my checking.  Craziness.  But luckily now I have like $50 more than I thought I did!

Now I'm going to go and go through boxes of stuff, because I've been bribed with promises of makeup and brushes and other goodies.  Oh my.

Born To Be Alive

Hello! It's been a few days. Not much is new in the world of Amy. I'm kind of on a normal sleeping schedule again though, yay! That's just because yesterday I went to see the first episode of this new show called Hole In The Wall get taped, and it was exhausting. Hole In The Wall is basically the American version of that Japanese human Tetris video on YouTube, so it was pretty awesome. But again, it was so exhausting! I got up at 10, after not being able to fall asleep until after 4, and got ready. Then at noon I left to get gas and I got to Jonathan's house at about 12:15 or so, and we were off. Traffic was excellent, so we made it out to Studio City by 1, and we went to CBS to see if we could park and wait since we didn't need to be there until 2. But nope, we had to come back at 2, so we went to find something to do for an hour. There was a little street festival going on so parking was scarce and we had to go a ways down Ventura before we found a tiny shopping center with some parking spots. We looked around in a pet store and got some cheesy bread from Domino's (my first thing to eat all day). Then we headed back, parked, and got in line. We stood in line for 40 minutes before they told us they were running late, and to either hang out or just come back at 3:30. So we waited, got back in line at 3:30...and then stood in line. A lot. At about 4 they moved us from a line on the second floor of the garage down to the first floor. Then at about 4:30 they moved us to a line outside of the garage in the freaking hot sun. Then at 4:45 we stood in line outside one of the sound stages, and by 5 we were finally in. Then they expected us to stand and scream and cheer and bang "Thunder Stix" together. It took them like 3 hours and 15 minutes to tape the freaking half-hour show. I've been to other tapings, so I knew it took a long time (I was at Beauty and the Geek for 6 hours), but it's still not something you look forward to. After the show was done they tried to get us to stay by bribing us with free pizza and VIP tickets to America's Got Talent and to come back and see Hole In The Wall again. By this time, however, Jonathan and I had sore throats, we were tired, and the irritating cheerleaders from a rival high school who were sitting in front of us were getting on our last nerves. So we bailed and went to Denny's on Sunset! Denny's after dark in LA is always full of exciting people. So, yeah, we had breakfast for dinner at like 8:30, we were out of there by 9:15, and I didn't get home until 10:15. Over 12 hours of nonstop action...so I was dead tired. Went right to sleep. I didn't even check Facebook! Haha, that's impressive.

Wow, that's a big chunk of words up there. No one's gonna read that, but oh well. Today I went to the mall! Yay! And I went broke! Haha. I got awesome stuff though. I got two really super awesome new eye shadows from Sephora. They're Shady Lady eye shadows by The Balm and they're sooo pretty (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P157200&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=2911)! I got Curvy Cami, which is a super cute shimmery light purple, and I got Jealous Jordana, which is a dark shimmery emerald color. I love them! I also got an Overshadow (also by The Balm, http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P188502&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=2911). It's called No Money, No Honey and it's gorgeous! It's a very light shimmery mineral powder to put on over eyeshadow to give it some glimmer. Then I went over to Victoria's Secret Beauty in search of a volumizing spray I read about in Seventeen or Cosmo GIRL! or something. Those salespeople are good! I wanted one freaking $15 hair product...I walked out with 6 things and spent like $52. I got my volumizing spray (which I just tried and it's FABULOUS! I press my hair and I feel the poof, haha), some straightening balm (which I also tried and it's lovely, my hair is straight, smooth, and frizz-free! http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=9B-212170&page=1&cgname=OSBAFONEZZZ&rfnbr=5222), wave enhancing spray (which I'm going to try tomorrow, http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=9B-212171&page=1&cgname=OSBAFONEZZZ&rfnbr=5222), hair reviving towelettes (which sounds exciting), Love Spell refreshing body mist (it smells so good, and I never would have looked at it if my mom hadn't been a 'tard and spilled it on herself, http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=9B-206453&page=2&cgname=OSBAFNUPZZZ&rfnbr=5218), and a big pink Beauty Candy tote bag that came with 3 mini body sprays =] So it was a productive day! Now it's off to sleep, goodnight!

God Bless America

So I just realized I completely forgot that I was going to talk about my 4th of July.  And so I've just decided to dedicate a separate entry to it.

I had a pretty good 4th.  Went to my grandma's, as tradition requires, and had fun.  I ate way too much, hah.  Because I'm incredibly lazy, I typically only eat one real meal a day and then just kind of eat sporadically when I'm hungry throughout the rest of the day.  So eating filet mignon...and a hot dog...and corn on the cob...and potato salad...and bread...and pink stuff (a stupid name, but absolutely delicious)...and ambrosia salad...and 2 different kinds of pie...and cookies...was just kind of a bad idea.  But I couldn't resist!  And after all the indulgence, we shot off loads of fireworks, as usual.

OH OH OH but we were all angry!  Because the people across the street from my grandma's house were outside doing fireworks too, and they were playing Mexican music really really loud.  And I mean, come on, it's the freaking FOURTH OF JULY...also known as AMERICA'S INDEPENDENCE DAY!  Please do not take advantage of a national holiday as simply an opportunity to blow shit up.  You could at least play some music in our national language, for Christ's sake.

So being the type of family that we are, we retaliated.  We rolled down the windows of my mom's car, put in a patriotic CD, and cranked up the volume.  And once we had gone through the CD twice and realized we'd forgotten all our other CDs at home, we just had fun with it.  We played some random stuff off of our iPods =]  We heard a little CCR and some Tennessee Ernie Ford from my mom's iPod, and then we broke mine out.  We heard the freaking song from the Main Street Electrical Parade, we had some yodeling, the Lawrence Welk Show theme, some crazy Ultra Lounge music...just some fun stuff.  The people across the street didn't turn off their music right away but they did stand there and stare at us for quite a while.  Then, eventually, they turned off their music and went inside.  Score!

So yeah...then we watched some of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, because seriously, what's more American than a bunch of rednecks telling mainly bathroom related jokes?  Yeah...it was a good Fourth =]

Riki Tiki Tavi

Hello, faithful (yet completely nonexistent) readers!  It's been a while.  A few exciting things have been going on, but nothing terribly thrilling.  June 29th marked the one year anniversary of me getting my driver's license, so now all restrictions are lifted and it feels great!  Also, Monday I'm getting my braces partially removed, and 2 weeks after that they come off completely, so that's exciting.  Also, about 2 1/2 weeks ago I got contacts!  I've tried them two or three times before, but they were always too dry and uncomfortable for me.  This time, I got the Acuvue Oasys contacts, and they're wonderful.  Contacts are fun, and I'm loving sunglasses =]

Hmm...I did laundry for the very first time the other day, so that was kinda cool.  I've also been working on cleaning my room.  My little vanity area is all nice and organized now so I'm having fun with my makeup.  I'd really like to do a little room tour video or even just a minitour of my vanity.  If I have time tomorrow I will, but that really depends on when I get up since I'm going to a barbecue at 4:30.

In other news...I was just watching some stuff on YouTube about making a video to win tickets to the premiere of that movie Garden Party.  I'm kind of interested, but I haven't really come up with any entry ideas yet and I'm still not completely positive I have the whole idea straight.  The whole thing is just kind of confusing, haha.  But we'll see.  Ooh, I've just randomly decided on my outfit and makeup for the barbecue!  Yay!  I'm excited to do that haha.  It's going to require straightening my hair though, ick.  I kinda hate that but I'll give it a shot.

Well this blog is going absolutely nowhere, so I'm going to go and continue rereading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and maybe watch some of Adventures in Babysitting (because that movie makes me happy inside) and try to sleep, but most likely fail.  Goodnight!

Hey, Pepto-Bismol!

Things are getting exciting in the world of Amy!  I have a lovely tan, I got contacts, and I'm getting my braces off next month!  It's all so...exciting!

Right now though, I am regretting eating half of a chocolate bunny from Easter 2007.  It was still in the box and wrapped up all nice, and it's Cadbury and it just looked good...but it gave me a horrible stomach ache...etc.  But I'm feeling better  now.

While we speak I'm waiting for my videos to copy from my MacBook (Pro =]) to my external hard drive, because they eat up disk space like crazy.  I think I may have to get another external hard drive just for videos.  Hmm...

Other than that, I'm working hard on my songs for the Black Sabbath show, which is coming up in September.  I'm on Iron Man, Faeries Wear Boots, Into The Void, and Sweet Leaf, so that's exciting.  I'm also REALLY loving wearing sunglasses, they're so much fun.  That's kind of a downside to getting contacts though, now I have one more type of accessory to buy way too many of.  But oh well.  I bought a super cute pair at Target, they're black with little flowers painted on them.  Very '70s, I love them!  Then my mom said she'd buy me a pair too so I have to pick out something cute.  And I want to save up and buy some expensive ones, like Chanel or Juicy Couture.  But we'll see.

Now I'm going to watch UHF and maybe do a little cleaning.  Yay for 3 AM energy!

Season Of The Witch

I'm majorly PMSing today.  Blah.  But I did go shopping, got some cute tops from Old Navy, and some tops and hoodies from Ross.  Yay!

I have a show tomorrow.  I'm kinda looking forward to it but kinda not.  I'm just so tired.  I need a break from everything.  I thought I was gonna get to go to San Francisco this weekend but now that's not happening =[  Blaaaargh.

In other news, I've been cleaning some, my back and neck hurt, and I have a beautiful tan.  At least on my arms and chest.  It's a shame that it started as a burn though, so I'm peeling now.  Second sunburn of my life, yay!

I'm gonna lay here and listen to Donovan now whilst I try to sleep.  Goodnight.

Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad

I've had the song Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad by Meat Loaf stuck in my head for like 3 days.  Hmph.  So today I helped my friend Maggie serve food and things at this tea held by where she dances and where I used to dance.  It was almost 7 hours of hard work but I had a lot of fun!  I got a good upper-body workout carrying stuff since the kitchen was downstairs and everyone was eating upstairs.  Well, we took the elevator, but it was a really slow elevator so we had to hold the stuff for a while, haha.
Anywho, my friends Thomas and Odassis were visiting California (from Arizona) so
we had some fun.  Wednesd
ay night they came over, as did my friend Maggie, and we hung out and had pizza.  We watched So You Think You Can Dance, Lawrence
Welk, and part of To Catch A Yeti and the news haha.  And we played Apples To Apples!  That kinda took forever since we decided to extend it to whoever got 12
cards first as opposed to 8, and Thomas and Odassis like to argue their point.  A
lot, hah.  Theeen Thursday we (minus Maggie) got more pizza and hung out at the park.  Friday we (again, minus Maggie) went to Venice Beach and I hung out in the sand while the guys swam in the
ocean.  Then they dug a big hole and we buried Thomas =]  After that we went to
McDonald's, saw You Don't Mess With The
Zohan, and hung out.  And I got the second sunburn of my entire life.  So that was
fun.  But then they had to leave =[  Oh well.
OH yesterday I got a haircut!  Which was weird to have done the day after seeing Zohan but whatever.  I haven't had hair this short in like 6 years!  I love it though.  It's also now more reddish brown, and I'm very happy with the color.  I got layers too so hopefully it'll be easier to manage now.

Hmm...today I bought some really awesome (and cute!) new headphones.  They're really cool.

Except mine have a black headband part instead of the weird tan color.  I love the green though.  I also got a 1 1/4" curling iron that releases mist, oooh.  And then like lip gloss and hair heat protection and stuff.  Yay.  I want to get a new hair dryer and straightener too.  But whatever.

I must find a job.  So I can buy a really cool Beetle.  And move into the apartment down the street.  That would be suh-weet!

Amy

I'm actually kind of sleepy, even though it's only like 2 AM though.  Busy busy day.  But let's talk about TUESDAY!

I was driving down Hollywood Blvd. on my way home from my drum lesson and traffic was so much worse than usual.  So finally I get up to where the issue is...in the right lane there's this big bit of scaffolding, and in front of it there are a couple cops and a group of scantily clad women.  Across the street on the sidewalk, a ton of people are standing and staring.  I was looking at the girls and I thought to myself "Is it?  Nah, it couldn't be."  BUT IT WAS.  There, right in front of my car were the Pussycat Dolls.  I totally could have hit the gas and taken them all out.  So I had to merge into the left lane and continue along...but when I started moving their new song (When I Grow Up or whatever it's called) started playing and they started to climb the scaffolding.  But I didn't get to see much more of anything as a cop was directing me.

So yeah.  Thought I'd share my interesting celebrity "run-in" =]

Dreamweaver

TODAY WAS OFFICIALLY THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.  LIKE, EVER.  Besides meeting Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper and all those other people.  And playing Light My Fire with Robbie Krieger.  Okay, basically the best day in my life where I did absolutely nothing worthwhile and my day was still absolutely amazing and awesome.

So like I mentioned, today I did nothing worthwhile.  I woke up at 2, watched some episodes of True Life I had on TiVo, organized some stuff in my garden area, and did like a billion math problems.  And took a walk.  BUT THEN...after I finished my math homework I went to watch the MTV Movie Awards because by that time TiVo had finished taping them.  So I'm watching and of course Mike Myers is fun and stuff and it's pretty good for an awards show.  AND THEN IT GOT AMAZING.  I was fast-forwarding through the commercials and when I hit play I saw it...the wonderful cable access logo...and I heard a voice say "You're watching cable access, Aurora, Illinois." or whatever that dude says.  AND WAYNE AND GARTH SHOW UP ON MY FREAKING TV SCREEN!

Now, if you didn't already know, I LOVE WAYNE'S WORLD!  It is my absolute favorite movie, it has been for years, and I know practically every line in the whole movie.  I quote from it all of the time.  Same goes for the sequel, I love that one too!  And I was just so ecstatic to see Mike Myers and Dana Carvey doing a completely new skit.  Wayne's World 2 came out in 1994 and they haven't really used those characters since (that I know of).  That and I heard that after that movie they didn't really get along.  So that movie came out when I was like 3 years old and then there was nothing for 14 years and now this.  It's sad how absolutely happy I am.  They were joking and funny and the audience seemed to love it and at the end THEY HUGGED EACH OTHER!  Does this mean that the "feud" is over?  IS THERE HOPE FOR A THIRD WAYNE'S WORLD!?  I really think that people would go see it.  I've read a few ideas people have come up with for a third movie and I just think it would be so much fun.  I seriously think if they made a third movie I would cry from happiness, and I have never cried because I was happy in my entire life.  AHHHHH.  So yeah I just loved that.

To add to the awesomeness of my evening, Johnny Depp won two awards.  HE IS SO ADORABLE!  I'M USING CAPS WAY TOO MUCH IN THIS POST BUT I DON'T REALLY CARE!  But yeah.  He looked all cute and shy and everything both times he came out.

So...yeah.  I still have like the last half-hour that I haven't watched but I'll get around to it tomorrow probably.  Besides, I'm never ever deleting that program hahaha.  In other news, after that excitement I watched Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band which I've been wanting to see for at least like 2 years and I finally got it at Virgin for $10.  It was really good, I liked it a lot!  In my opinion it was sooooo much better than Across The Universe.  That movie bored the hell out of me.

Now it's 3:30 AM and I'm seriously considering starting War Games.  So long for now!

YAY!  I LOVE WAYNE, GARTH, MIKE, DANA, AND FREAKING MTV FOR GIVING ME THIS ABSOLUTE JOY IN MY LIFE!  Ahahahahaha.

Edit:  I just realized a bit of irony in the whole situation too, because like last December I bought the Wayne's World soundtrack on LP off of eBay and hadn't listened to it yet, but while I was doing my homework today I popped it in for the first time.  How cool!

Bat Out Of Hell

I have had songs from Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell album stuck in my head for like 2 days.  It's starting to drive me a little nuts.  In other news, today I participated in the Hollywood Freeze, and it was fun but it could have used more participants.  Then I went shopping, OMG yay.  Bought some sparkly rainbow suspenders, a Super Mario Bros. 3 t-shirt, a Charlie goes to Candy Mountain t-shirt, clip in magenta hair extensions, a purse, the Walk Hard soundtrack, some movie called Rock 'N' Roll High School, and the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie.  So that was good.  I also played entirely too much online multiplayer GTA 4 as I have been doing lately.  Gah, I'm addicted =[  Hmmm and I watched so much wonderful TV today...True Life: I'm Addicted To Oxycontin, Reefer Madness, Living Lohan, and Best Week Ever.  I am so awesome.  I really want to watch War Games too because I bought that and haven't watched it yet but I've been craving it.  I keep forgetting to watch it until it's like 3 AM and I'm exhausted though.  Poo.

Tomorrow I get to do 2 entire chapters of math homework...or maybe one tomorrow and one Monday.  Actually that sounds much better so we'll go with that.  Hmmm...other than that, I have another show coming up on the 13th, the Best Of Season show.  So that's exciting!  And I really need to clean my room.  Urgh.  G'nite.

Paradise City

So the show went pretty well! There was a problem with Paradise City and I was all upset but it wasn't my fault so I'm over it =] Then another show tomorrow which might have something extra exciting happen but I really have no clue as of yet. Sooo yep. I should get to sleep, gotta be up in 8 hours. But DUDE I must have these:

Alrighty, off to sleep. So long for now!

Dude Looks Like A Lady

I'm seriously starting to have trouble coming up with song titles relating to my posts...because if you haven't noticed every blog title is a song title because I'm awesome like that.

SPEAKING OF AWESOME...last Friday and Saturday I played shows. Both were tributes to The Doors. So anyways, Saturday I'm at the venue hanging out backstage before showtime. About two minutes before the show is supposed to start, the show director comes backstage and informs us that Robby Krieger (who is the guitarist from The Doors) is in the audience. So's Arthur Barrows, who played bass with Frank Zappa for a while. But anyways, I was informed that Mr. Krieger would be PLAYING GUITAR on Light My Fire...which is a song I was on! So there I am, pounding on the drums, trying not to mess up because I'm basically onstage with a legend. Playing a song that he helped write and make famous. Holy. Crap. So that was pretty much one of the most awesome days of my life. There's footage of us playing Light My Fire on my YouTube account if any of the non-existent people who read this would like to see.

Hmm...in other news...life's pretty boring but it's going well. Have to pick up my car from the shop tomorrow. I had my brakes adjusted, my oil changed, and my air conditioning fixed (THANK GOD). Then I have my drum lesson in the evening and I think I'm going to stay for extra practice for the Guns 'N' Roses vs. Motley Crue show. Then Friiiiiday, I'm going to my grandma's house in the afternoon. I'm gonna look through the stuff she plans on selling at the garage sale she's having to see if I want any of it. I'm sleeping there and then Saturday morning I'm helping with the sale. Then I have to leave at 1 to get back here by 2 so my parents and I can be in Hollywood by 3 for my G'N'R rehearsal. Then after that we're going over to The Grove to see my friend Jonathan perform...yay! He's so awesome, I'm excited.

So...yup. Life's been treating me well. Good but busy weekend. Monday I did homework so that was a little stressful. Then Tuesday I went into school in the morning and then I've just sorta been chilling since then. Watching TV, sleeping late, and today I played Sims 2 for a while which I haven't done in ages! I freaking love that game. Oh, I also got new cables for my Super Nintendo so I've been playing a lot of my awesome old school games. I went through my favorite game EVER, Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday, in a couple of hours. Then I worked on Goof Troop for a while and got to the very last boss stage where I died but oh well, close enough. Then I played some other games but yeah...I need to play some newer games too...Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Rock Band, The Godfather, Bully, DDR, Guitar Hero...hmph. I want to get GTA4 too.

Gosh this blog is getting long. I guess I'll finish up with the fact that I've been watching a lot of home movies lately and I really want to figure out how to record VHS tapes onto the computer. Because let's face it, I was freaking adorable and footage of my cute little self must be put on YouTube. And footage of my family being dumb. Yay!

Off to watch my new Grease: Rockin' Rydell Edition! G'nite!

Hungry, Hungry Hippo

So the fruit juice diet lasted almost two days...then I caved and had 3 pieces of pizza.  But oooh well...I'm actually really hungry right now and I might have some frozen peas.  Darn Katie for getting me hooked on those oh so many years ago!  I really need to get to sleep too.  I went to sleep at 9 PM and then I woke up at like 1 and couldn't fall asleep again, but I need to be up again by 11 because at 12:15 Maggie is picking me up so I can go see her dance show...yay!  I love dance shows, they're so much fun.

In other news, I'm so excited for my shows that are coming up.  I just need to perfect the one part in the middle of Peace Frog and tighten up all the loose ends on my Doors songs because those shows are Friday and Saturday.  Then I have 2 weeks to finish perfecting Paradise City and Civil War for the Guns 'N' Roses vs. Motley Crue show.  Aaahh so nerve-wracking yet exciting!  But I just love performing.  To me, there's nothing more fun and exciting than hanging out backstage...be it for a dance show, a music show, or any other kind of show.  Backstage is just such an exciting place to be!

There Are Worse Things I Could Do

Started my fruit juice diet today!  I haven't broken yet, so that's good.  I'm a little hungry but I'll live, I've gotten good at denying my hunger after many a midnight craving when there's nothing in the house.  Fruit juice is so much better than that darn lemon juice crap.  It actually tastes good and doesn't make me want to puke!  So today I had a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, and two glasses of a smoothie containing fresh kiwis, bananas, strawberries, ice...and possibly something else I've forgotten.  But it was good.  Tomorrow I might throw some veggies into the blender and mix something up with them too.  There's lots of good recipes in the book that came with the Vita-Mix.  The Vita-Mix is so awesome!  You can make soup, ice cream, smoothies, fondue...all kinds of junk.  It's amazing.

I also went on a walk today!  I'm not sure of the exact length, I'm going to check tomorrow, but I'm guessing about 2 miles.  It was very nice!

In other news, there is talk of adding a cute little studio apartment complete with bathroom, kitchenette, and walk-in closet above our garage for me to live in.  That sounds pretty fun to me!  It'd be good-sized too, about 400 square feet.  I already have a fridge and a bunch of fancy china and stuff.  I guess I'd need regular plates though...but yeah I'm excited to see how this develops!

I also find it odd how someone who shan't be named posted a blog about starting the lemon detox 2 days after I blogged about starting it.  Hmmm...probably coincidence though, since absolutely NO ONE reads this.

Never On A Sunday

So the lemonade master cleanse didn't really work out for me.  I made it halfway through the first day and then I couldn't drink that junk without gagging!  So tomorrow I'm starting on a fruit juice cleanse, drinking only freshly squeezed juices and water.  That I'm positive I'll be able to handle =]

Wish me luck!

Happy Days

Today is day UNO of the lemonade master cleanse detox fasting thingy.  Yay!  For the next few days, I get to drink 38 ounces a day of a lovely combo of maple syrup, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and water.  And that's it.  I can't eat anything else, but I can have lots of water and green tea.  Supposedly there are cheat foods too and I'm guessing they're your standard negative calorie foods but I'm not going to risk it quite yet.  My starting weight is 170 so we'll see how this goes.

After the detox is over I'm going to eat healthily and get exercising!  During the detox I'm doing a mile brisk walk daily, then afterwards I'll continue and add in some light cardio.  I'll have to ease my way back into eating again but that'll just make it easier to avoid the things that I don't need.  I'm so pumped for this, I can't wait to get into a bathingsuit!

Hoop-De-Doo

Blaaaargh.  I'm hungry.  And it's 4 AM.  And I'm lazy.  Boohoo =[

I'm kinda sleepy and I know I should go to sleep so I think I will in a few minutes here.  I just felt like posting some nothingness.

It's cold in here!  But alas, I can curl up in bed whilst I write this, as I have finally gone 100% wireless!  Yipee!  No more darn 50 foot ethernet cord to drag around the house with me.  I have this here MacBook, my Wii, my PS3, and the desktop connected wirelessly.  It's quite fabulous.

What else is new you ask?  (Wow, now I'm hearing questions from nonexistent readers.)  I've been cleaning!  It's amazing!  I emptied out one whole box of junk I had sitting around and I've started putting stuff that needs to go into storage in it.  I've also got my desk 98% clean.  I rearranged a bunch of crap to optimize the space, took some stuff off, and now it's looking lovely.  The only stuff that still has to find a new home is the stuffed frog my parents gave me when I got back from Tucson, which I think will look nice on top of my bookshelf, my camera tripod, which I can just stick inside the camera bag, some pictures that I need to hang up, and the Chia Head that I got for Christmas which is still in the box because I haven't figured out the best place to set it up yet.

Hmm...other than that...just been doing homework, drumming, and playing The Sims.  I do love that game.

But I've blathered on for far too long, so alas, it is time I sleep.  Farewell!

Swampfox, Swampfox

Today was fun. I woke up at 8 AM (for reasons I am still unsure of) and at 10 I was out of the house. Went to get my schoolwork and got some food from 7-11 and then I was off down to ambush my godmother at work. But she wasn't there, so then I had nothing to do. Soooo I ended up driving around and looking at things blasting Disney songs and singing along offkey to see how many people would roll their windows up. I got 2 people to roll 'em up, and one guy rolled his down. Theeeen drove around some more, saw the creepy abandoned neighborhood, got some DVDs, stopped by my godmother's house but of course she wasn't there eeeeither...ooh and I went to the gay and lesbian thrift store (which you don't have to be gay or lesbian to shop there =p) and got myself 10 used records for $10! Yay! So I'm going to listen to those tonight. Hmm...ohh and then I went through Compton so I stopped blasting music and locked my doors haha. I did see some cops intervening in a gang fight and arresting people though, so that was fun. I want to go find a good soul food place in Compton, I saw a few. Tomorrow I have rehearsal so that's exciting. Hmm...so now I'm going to play some more TSO and prepare for the terror that is my nephew to arrive. God save the queen (and when I say that, I mean me).

Eenie Meenie Miney Moe

So it's almost 4 AM and therefore almost time to hit the hay. I've been sleepy but not quite tired enough to actually go to sleep, so I think I'll read a lovely coffee table book about Hawaii in the 1950's before I go to bed. I can't believe I got it for Christmas and I haven't started it yet! I've been excited about it. Hmm...so today I didn't go in to my meeting with my teacher because I feel like I'm coming down with something and I've also mysteriously pulled something in my right leg so I can't walk much. I spent most of today sleeping and then I watched some TV, played some Sims Online (Yay! It's free now!), and then had a 90's flashback while watching old little kids sing-a-long tapes with my nephew. And then later I played some Rock Band with my brother. So...yup. Tomorrow I've gotta practice my drums, because Thursday I have my lesson and rehearsal for the Doors show and I might go see my godfather's studio. Friday I think my mom and I are going to ambush my godmother at work (I guess it's just godparents week!) aaand then Saturday I have my first rehearsal for the Guns 'N' Roses/Motley Crue show. Exciting exciting. Sunday I'll just be lazy as usual I guess. Actually, I want to hang out with one of my friends. I'll have to find someone who's not busy and drag them to see Be Kind, Rewind with me. And then Monday I get to do homework because Tuesday I meet with my teacher again! Whew. Which reminds me, I have to go and pick up my worksheets. Ugh. I'm going to go and read now.

I wonder why I continue to write in this when I know no one but my mother reads it. And even she forgot about it for 2 months. How sad.

Burger Dance

The Pizza Hut, the Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken and the Pizza Hut...

Hmm...is it abnormal for me to be "living" off of my bed? I mean, it's king sized, so I just keep everything I use a lot up here to one side...I've got my laptop, books and magazines, remotes, Wii controller, crackers, a scrapbooking kit, a Chia pet (don't really know why), clean clothes, coloring books, face wipes...seriously, I need help.

In other news, today is my birthday. At 10 minutes until 4 this afternoon, I will nolonger be "sweet 16" =[ But I did get some fun gifts! My mom got a PlayStation 3 that's not just for me but for eeeeverybody so we can watch BluRay DVDs on our nice HDTV that hasn't really served it's purpose yet. Then I got Rock Band (woohoo, finally!), some t-shirts, a very 90's Donald/Daisy Duck bag that I love, makeup, the world's coziest sweater, earrings...uuuuhm...yeah and I think some other stuff that I've forgotten. OH! I got some stuff for my drums: brushes (score), a tractor seat stool (soooo comfy), and a splash cymbal =D Yay! Oh and like $80. Plus I'll [hopefully] be going to Arizona for a weekend to visit my best friend! Yay! And that replaces the trip to San Francisco I was supposed to take this weekend to go to the YouTube party, which replaced a birthday party. So I'm good. Now I'm gonna finish watching Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, yay!

Think

So I have this thought. Basically, I need motivation to lose weight. I just tried on all of the jeans in my closet and sadly the majority of them no longer fit. I don't really know why I'm gaining weight, but my butt, thighs, and I'm pretty sure my upper arms are holding on to fat for dear life. I'm eating the same, if not better, than I used to, and exercising the same amount (which is none), yet I've gone up a couple pant sizes. I'm leaning towards putting the blame on stress. And definitely heredity. But anyways, I want to take a nice hour-long power walk every day because sources say it works and it's pretty easy. But I need this motivation. So my thought...maybe I'll chart my progress through YouTube! Since I don't really care if people know how fat I am (I've already started losing weight, and am now at 165 from 168) I figure posting videos about my weight-loss "journey" will give me some sort of motivation, aside from fitting into my beloved clothes again. So...yeah. Let's see if I can get off of my lazy ass tomorrow and go to the Y for a nice hour on the treadmill.

The Brady Bunch

Yay for extremely late (or early) postings!  Now I'll bore whoever stumbles upon this with details on my day.  Today was pretty good, it rained quite hard most of the day and it's still coming down pretty hard now.  I played this awesomely awesome game on Miniclips called Youda Camper which was so awesome I had to get my mom to buy the full version.  Then I made copies of the flier for the AC/DC show and dropped some off at my friends' houses.  I watched some Ocean Force: Huntington Beach, which is quite fun, and a little MAD TV.  Then I watched America's Funniest Home Videos and My Fair Brady: Maybe Baby (I swear, Adrienne Curry is psychotic.)  I also was super duper excited to discover that they show Johnny Bravo on Boomerang!  I used to love that cartoon.  Hmm...then I went to get some groceries and took a shower...played some Elevator Action on the Wii...organized all of the mail I've been receiving from colleges...put on my awesome new bedsheets...and now I'm doing some homework so I don't have to do it all tomorrow.

I've also discovered something quite interesting (to me, at least).  If I go to sleep at midnight, I will sleep until 11 or 12, which would be 11 or 12 hours of sleep.  If I go to sleep at 7 AM, however, I will wake up at 2 or 3 PM, which would be 7 or 8 hours of sleep.  So by going to sleep at 7 AM I am actually more productive because I seem to require less sleep that way.  I guess I just hate mornings so much that my body refuses to get up!  So yeah, now my life revolves around me going to bed at 7 AM and getting up at 2 or 3.  It works for me!

Back to homework since I have to go to bed in 2 1/2 hours, ugh.

Shoot To Thrill

Oh man.  I have to have that.

It's Raining Again

Oh, it's raining again,
Oh no, my love's at an end.
Oh no, it's raining again,
And you know it's hard to pretend.
Oh no, it's raining again,
Too bad I'm losing a friend.
Oh no, it's raining again,
Oh, will my heart never mend?

You're old enough some people say,
To read the signs and walk away,
It's only time that heals the pain,
And makes the sun come out again.
It's raining again,
Oh no, my love's at an end.
Oh no, it's raining again,
Too bad I'm losing a friend.

La, la, la...

C'mon you little fighter,
No need to get uptighter.
C'mon you little fighter,
And get back up again.

It's raining again,
Oh no, my love's at an end.
Oh no, it's raining again,
Too bad I'm losing a friend.
Oh!  Oh!

La, la, la...

C'mon you little fighter,
No need to get uptighter.
C'mon you little fighter,
And get back up again.
Oh, get back up again.
Oh, fill your heart again...

(It's raining, it's pouring,)
(The old man is snoring.)
(He went to bed and bumped his head,)
(And he couldn't get up in the morning.)

Aaaaanyways, it is raining.  That makes me happy, I love rain =D  There was thunder and lightning earlier too!  Ahhh so exciting!  Hmm...sooo tomorrow (erm, today) I might go to see and episode of Beauty And The Geek be filmed.  Otherwise it's homework, drumming, TV, and video games, which is pretty nice when it's raining.  Well, all except the homework part.  I have a chapter of history, 2 chapters of science, a chapter of English, and an essay to write.  Yippee.  Hmm...I was playing Super Mario Galaxy but one of the levels in the Trial Galaxy was really pissing me off so I gave up for the night.  Ooooh and I had band rehearsal tonight...I'm getting so excited!  We have fliers printed up for the show and there are only 2 rehearsals left before it, ahhh!  I'm kinda nervous because it'll be my first show with me playing the drums but I'm feeling very confident.  The director says I'm doing great and today the best drummer at the school gave me the thumbs-up, haha.  That's a pretty good compliment in my opinion.  But yeah...AC/DC is pretty sweet...here's to Girl's Got Rhythm and Sin City, my songs!

This blog was very random and boring.  I apologize, nonexistent readers.

Prepare the transit beam...

Woo!  I got my firewire cord for my camera!  So I've been busy transferring my footage.  I plan on making my Hollywood As One video tonight and uploading it before no one cares anymore haha.  Other than thaaaat...homework...reading Everybody Hurts (hilarious)...getting ready for the AC/DC show which is crawling closer ahhh!  And watching the final season of The Brady Bunch...I also started Quantum Leap so I think I'll watch the first season of that next.  I have no idea why I love that show so much, but I do.

Time to edit!
